Chocolate should be simple—but gluten can still sneak in. Pure chocolate is naturally gluten free and when you find a trustworthy gem it's a great feeling. If you're not sure of a product, flip the package and check the label. There might be an add-in that isn't obvious on the packaging.
A few things to watch for:
• Cookie or brownie pieces
• Crisped rice (not always GF)
• Malt (barley malt, malt extract)
• Wafers or biscuits
• Flavoured bars and chocolate chips can be risky depending on the brand
