There’s nothing better than the smell of whole cloves of garlic roasting in your oven. Honestly, the aroma that permeates your kitchen is the most mouth-watering, and irresistible smell. It’s simple transformation from a raw and potent-like garlic to a smooth, caramel sweet finish; is magic.

We decided to share this simple roasting hack with you all because we tend to use garlic in so many of our recipes. It’s ability to give such incredible flavour to so many different dishes, we forget how amazing it is on its own.

We know what those of you who haven’t roasted garlic before are thinking. Really?! Seriously?

Well guess what? It’s amazing! If you haven’t eaten plain roasted garlic before, you’re in for a treat. Roasted garlic literally pairs with almost everything and anything. Our favorite is simply spreading on a cracker with cheese.

Covid days- you have a mask. You’re thinking maybe I should give this a try. No one will know if I’ve eaten a head of garlic. The magical transformation from raw garlic when roasting takes all potency away. You can leave your mask off for this one and your family will still love you!

This easy recipe will become a new favorite. Be sure to roast more than one head though if you plan to share! It seems to disappear quickly.

Such a simple thing, all you’ll need to roast garlic is olive oil, aluminum foil and a few heads of garlic. Preheat your oven, pour a glass of wine and let the magic happen.

Insanely delicious, this secret can’t be kept. Discover the magic of a rich, smooth and carmel sweet garlic after roasting. You’ll be obsessed.

Ingredients

  • 3 heads garlic

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • aluminum foil

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375Ā°F
  • Trim the very tips off the top of the garlic head on every clove; exposing the clove through the peel.
  • Set on piece of aluminum foil and sprinkle olive oil over entire head. Take care to ensure every clove has a drizzle. Use approximately 1 tbsp. of olive oil per head of garlic.
  • Wrap tightly and place on baking tray.
  • Bake in oven for approximately 45 minutes until when gently squeezed, cloves are soft. Let cool slightly.
  • Go ahead and spread on crackers, add to a dip or dressing, spread on a pizza or flatbread. The options to pair with roasted garlic are endless!
