We love a good dip and there’s nothing better then taking something delicious and making it taste even more amazing! This hummus based dip does exactly that. Using hummus as it’s base, we’ve incorporated a few other ingredients and developed something absolutely incredible!
This dip is so versitile – be adventurous and use it for dunking your potato or yam fries, or any other raw vegetables. It can also be paired with chicken or beef. Really the options are endless!
It’s yellow color is gorgeous for fall and will set the mood for an autumn fry board! Get baking those potatoes and yams….you’ll never look back again to simply ketchup after this dip.
One of our favorite ingredients are the roasted sesame seeds. They give a subtle yet perfect crunch texture to the hummus base. Definitely toast them first! Don’t omit this simple step:)
As with many dips, you need to let sit and let the flavours fuse first. Not this one! It’s ready to go as soon as it’s mixed…

minutesA hummus inspired dip with an Asian flair. Infused with toasted sesame seeds and ginger, it’s the perfect pairing to our favourite potato or yam fries (https://cutcooking.com/french-fries/). It’s also an excellent choice for dipping raw veggies or chicken and beef dishes.
Ingredients
1 cup hummus
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup toasted sesame seeds
1/4 cup green onion, chopped small
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp prepared yellow mustard
Directions
- Preheat the oven to low broil.
- Spread sesame seeds on baking tray and broil. Watch carefully during broiling. They will burn VERY QUICKLY! This process to toast the sesame seeds might only take 2 minutes – total. Literally stand at the oven door and watch 🙂 The second they start turning ‘golden’, remove baking tray.
- Combine all ingredients in medium mixing bowl.
- Stir well.
- Dip away!!
