This recipe for CUT baked Molasses beans will become a summer favourite. Beans are incredible little nutritious power houses. Loaded with protein, carbs and fiber; they have so many health benefits. This recipe is easy to prepare. It can even be made ahead of time and warmed again when needed.

This recipe is so simple. Prepare your beans according to the package directions, combine all the ingredients in a crock pot and let the magic happen! That’s honestly it. Lol, magic beans.
Molasses Beans

Ingredients
3 cups (1 lb) dried white navy beans (gluten free, be sure to check package “May Contain” statements)
1-2 cups water
1 medium onion, minced
1 lb gluten free bacon, uncooked and chopped
1 cup ketchup
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp fancy molasses
2 tsp dry mustard
2 tsp white vinegar
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
Directions
- Boil beans to package instructions until soft.
- While beans boiling, prepare other ingredients in crock pot.
- Mince onion, cut raw bacon into small pieces. Add to crock pot.
- Add all other ingredients, including the 2 cups of water to crock pot.
- Stir to combine.
- When beans are done, drain and add to ingredients already in crock pot.
- Stir again to ensure beans are coated well.
- Cook on low for 10 to 12 hours.
