This recipe is so simple. Prepare your beans according to the package directions, combine all the ingredients in a crock pot and let the magic happen! That’s honestly it. Lol, magic beans.
Molasses Beans

Ingredients
3 cups (1Ā lb)Ā driedĀ white navy beansĀ (gluten free, be sure to check package “May Contain” statements)
Ā1-2Ā cups waterĀ
1 medium onion, minced
1Ā lbĀ gluten free bacon, uncooked and choppedĀ
1Ā cup ketchupĀ
1Ā cup brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp fancy molassesĀ
2 tsp dry mustardĀ
2 tsp white vinegarĀ
1 tsp saltĀ
Ā½ tsp pepperĀ
Directions
- Boil beansĀ to package instructions until soft.Ā
- While beans boiling, prepare other ingredients in crock pot.
- Mince onion, cut raw bacon into small pieces. Add to crock pot.
- Add all other ingredients, including theĀ 2Ā cupsĀ of waterĀ to crock pot.
- Stir to combine.
- When beans are done, drain and add to ingredients already in crock pot.
- Stir again to ensure beans are coated well.
- Cook on low for 10 to 12 hours.
