These burgers will make your summer. Seriously, the burger as you know it is about to change. Salmon in a burger? Yes!! It’s absolutely amazing.
Don’t be afraid to venture from the prairies to our coasts for this one. We love our Alberta beef, pork and chicken, however a change is always welcome in the kitchen. Try something new. Try something different.
Mediterranean inspired, this salmon patty is incredibly moist and stocked full with onion, zucchini, olives, fresh herbs and of course…feta.
Different than most salmon burgers which contain a whole fillet of fish, we mince our salmon to give the same texture as a ground burger. Once your salmon fillet is cut finely, add the ingredients and form patties just like regular ground beef burgers.
These patties freeze well if you have a larger piece of salmon. They also serve incredible to guests for that summer BBQ. We have a couple months yet before the grills are in full swing…We’re hopeful with quarantines slowly lifting, that one day, we will cheers again with a burger and friends. Until then, grill these either on your stove top or BBQ. We promise your entire family will love them!
As we write this entry, the rain is falling and the weather is proving to be anything but summer in Calgary. If you’re not up for grilling these on the BBQ, go ahead and use a grilling pan on your stove. They turn out great either way!
Go ahead and serve them with your favorite toppings. Or try our favourite pairing- fresh arugula, tomato and of course…CUT Tarter sauce. https://cutcooking.com/tarter-sauce/
Pour yourself a drink, open the bag of chips, dinner is served!…Lol, the weekends always seems to be around the corner these days!? Enjoy a Salmon Burger!
